Perfuming your hair
Do you ever walk down the street when you suddenly smell a wonderful perfume, without knowing where it comes from? The French call this 'sillage', a scent that lingers in the air after someone walks by. This is of course the effect you want to achieve by wearing a perfume. You want to stand out with your wonderful scent, radiate a certain charm. We know how to achieve this seductive 'sillage': by perfuming your hair!
Where do you spray perfume?
The places where you are probably used to spraying your perfume are the so-called pulse points. The pulse points are places where you feel your heartbeat: on your neck, behind your ears and on the inside of your wrists, elbows and knees. Perfume needs warmth to develop on your skin. By spraying your perfume in places where blood vessels are close to the surface, you enhance this effect. The only downside is that many perfumes, especially subtle ones, can only be smelled when you are close to someone. This is of course very intimate, but it does not always achieve the desired wow effect. That's how we ended up with our perfume hack.
Perfume your hair!
We recommend that you also spray perfume in your hair from now on (if you haven't already)! This to enhance the French 'sillage' in a very effective way, without giving yourself an overdose of perfume. Why is it so effective? First of all, your hair absorbs odors easily, as it is exposed to them all day long. In addition, the fragrance molecules of perfume develop much more slowly in the hair, so the fragrance remains vibrant for longer.
How to perfume your hair?
Perfuming your hair is easy, but avoid common mistakes! We have come up with a number of tips for this hack, to ensure that your perfume will soon be revived!
1. Do not spray the perfume directly on the hair, but let the perfume evaporate on your hair. This can be done two ways. You either spray perfume on your hair with a distance of at least 20 centimeters or you spray perfume in the air and wave your hair through it.
2. Divide the perfume evenly, without making your hair wet.
3. Massage your hair with your hands or run a brush through it to spread the perfume better.
4. Use perfumes with alcohol content as low as possible, preferably without any alcohol. This is because alcohol can dry out the hair.
We hope this hack will make you enjoy your perfume longer!
