The Histoires de Parfums perfume collection is like an olfactory library that tells stories of famous characters, mythical years, poems and music. In this collection, you can meet extraordinary characters, discover the most exquisite ingredients in the world and enjoy poetry from the East and the West. Gerald Ghislain founded Histoires de Parfums in 2000 and created a collection of rare and delicate perfumes: these perfumes, like him, are rich in temperament and oh so romantic! Meet the fragrances that you can read on your skin.

The olfactory library of Gérald Ghislain

Imagine standing in one of the great libraries of our time, you call out and your echo answers. Everywhere you look, there are books, each with its impressive storyline and complicated characters. Dramatic novels, thrillers, historical literature, magical myths and romantic poems. Now imagine if you read with your nose. Take a deep breath in and smell all these books, like an olfactory library translating the stories, memories, characters and emotions into perfumes. That is the experience that perfume house Histoires de Parfums have achieved. With this perfume library, founder Gerald Ghislain wanted to create stories through scent, just as books create them with words.

"My perfumes have never been about a quest for the most beautiful scent,
but always for the most beautiful emotion."

- Gérald Ghislain

When creating his perfumes, Gérald rediscovers the classic fragrance families by adding unexpected fragrance components. By reinventing the traditional French know-how of perfumery, all the compositions from Histoires de Parfums are original and surprising.

Histoires de Parfums - 1828

Mythical personalities from long ago have been resurrected in the 'Characters' collection. Think George Sand, Casanova and Mona Lisa. Gérald has created perfumes that recall each of them, and together they create a gallery of characters in full colour. 1828 tells the story of Jules Verne. He was born at the beginning of the century of discovery. The nearby ocean took him far and inspired him to write extraordinary adventure novels. This perfume smells like a sea breeze over a wild moor, like a treasure chest made of precious wood and filled with spices from distant lands, stored on a boat sailing on unknown seas.

Histoires de Parfums - 1969

In every library, you can find a shelf of timeless classics that you can read over and over again. In the perfume library of Histoires de Parfums, you will find addictive fragrance experiences that you can wear on repeat. The perfumes in the 'Timeless classics' collection are the go-to choices for those craving an addictive perfume. 1969 signified the last year in the decade of love, and the fragrance represents the sexual revolution that captured the zeitgeist of the '60s. It evokes an intense sensuality, accentuated by white musk and intense chocolate, heated with spices such as cardamom and cloves.

Histoires de Parfums - This is not a blue bottle 1 / .1

'This is not a blue bottle' takes its name from The Treachery of Images, a famous 1920s work by Belgian surrealist painter René Magritte. The painting shows the image of a pipe above a statement that reads, translated from French, as "This is not a pipe". 'This is not a blue bottle 1 / .1' is an abstract perfume made of an irresistible Aldehyde and bitter orange.Discover the entire Histoires de Parfums collection here here
